Blow My Skirt Up Fashion Shoot fun!

Original post can be found here:

A day of laughing, drinking mimosas, and getting our makeup done by Tiffany Chavez reminded me of my wedding day. It was a little less nerve racking and not as schedule oriented, but of course, it was fun. I was getting ready again with my good friends who agreed to model some of Blow My Skirt Up’s dresses. We somehow managed to meet at 10:30 am on a Saturday where two of us had to work later that day. Needless to say, my friends were (and are) amazing by making it happen and letting the day unfold into a success.

Tiffany was extraordinary with her makeup skills. She had a vision for each model: Amber as a a little bit of rockabilly type, hot red lip stick, pin up babe; Lenae as a starry eyed nymph – think Pocahontas (Disney version). Natalie as a sweet innocent doll, angelic look; (yet we have to admit that “innocence” is a facade, folks); and myself as being a 1940′s housewife. Although, I don’t have kids and I’m not you’re submissive housewife type. I’m more your “lets have a woman be president” type.

Tiffany succeeded getting all of us done in time, with our tight schedule. We could tell that she has done over 150 weddings. This was a walk in the park for her. We were all very satisfied with our makeup. We told each other how we will keep our makeup on when we part ways. Some of us went to work made up, one of us to a birthday party. Lenae and I even rooted for the Oakland A’s at a pub afterwards.

We were proud of our eyes, skin and lips. One of us also left it on for two days…because she still thought she looked sexy. That person was maybe me.

I want to thank Tiffany for being super awesome, flexible and welcoming us in her home. Thank you! For those of you who have been asking about her, she can be contacted through her Facebook Artistry by Tiffany.
